Pre-Game Warmups

Welcome to the initial posting of The Cubicle Report. Quite honestly, I'm not sure how you found it... But regardless, you've arrived. Now what exactly does that mean? Good question. At the moment, not a whole lot. But in the long run, quite possibly the same, or if my fortunes take a turn, this site could turn into a consistent stopping point. I just have to fight through the thousands of other sports blogs out there.

And really, that's what I believe this is going to be... another sports blog. Or more specifically, a sports blog that gives me a creative outlet every now and again. I don't know how often I'll write, much less how in depth I'll get. But if I ever need a spot to vent or just talk things out to myself, I now have an opportunity to do so.

Just based on my available time at the moment, I'm expecting this site to focus primarily on local, Chicago sports with the occasional jaunt into national stories. I'll most likely venture into the fantasy realm as well, which you can find on the links to the right (unless I change the template format).

That's really about it. I don't have any grand plans for this site, but my modest expectations involve developing a handful of readers and commenters that weren't necessarily my friends/family to begin with. In the grandiose scheme of things, a loyal reader base supporting my site to the point where I can focus exclusively on posting would be ideal. However, I'd settle for merely being able to refer to the site as "We here at The Cubicle Report..."

So with that, I welcome you once again. Get ready for sporadic sports analysis and an over-abundance of ellipses. And with that, I've entered the bloggers' world...
